HOW IT WORKS

Initial consultation

We start the process with an initial consultation. During the consultation, we cover a number of topics including your needs and specific interests, hive location, and pricing.

• There is a $100 consult fee which will be refunded to you if a year-long service agreement is pursued.

Hive Installation

Once you decide you’re ready for your bees, we arrange for the installation.

• The basic hive configuration is $700/hive, including bees.

• Ask about our custom hive add-ons!

Beekeeping Agreement

After installation, take the stress out of beekeeping by having a master beekeeper care for your hive. Our basic beekeeping agreement for one hive includes:

• Hive management activities averaging one hour per month across one year.

• Residential

  • $1,800 for one hive (hive and bees extra)

  • +$1,000 for each additional hive on the property

  • Beekeeping coaching sessions can be secured at the rate of $150 per hour.

• Corporate

  • $3,400 for one hive (hive and bees included)

  • +$1,700 for each additional hive on the property

  • Beekeeping coaching sessions can be secured at the rate of $150 per hour.

• There may be an additional fee charged depending upon the client’s location or other variables as discussed during the initial consultation.

We do not harvest honey from first year hives but clients are given 3lbs (about 1qt) of honey from other hives we manage. In the second and out years we harvest appropriate amounts of honey from your hives. Options for processing honey include:

• Client processing: beekeeper will remove capped frames of honey and provide the frames wrapped for the client’s extraction and bottling of the honey.

• Beekeeper processing: beekeeper will process the frames and provide the honey to the client at a cost of $30 per gallon in a five-gallon bucket with honey gate (spigot). Prices for bottling into smaller containers varies depending on bottle size and type as well as label options chosen.
